Dahl, who became a children’s writer after a ‘monumental bash in the
head’ while flying as an Royal Air Force pilot during the Second World
War, the book has been a favorite with children for at least two
generations. Its fantastical characters, including Charlie Bucket, his
Grandpa and the 4 other children with their parents, taking a tour of
the out of this world chocolate factory, has never failed to attract
both children and adult readers. Willy Wonka, the eccentric owner of the
factory has also been an immensely popular character both in the book
and also in the film made of the same name.
The contest starts from September 09, 2014 and the readers can make
their entries till September 30th. The winners will be announced by
October 8th.
The winners will fly out to London on Children’s Day, i.e. the 14th of November, for the 3 nights and 2 days long trip.
